Oil on canvas of Hilo Bay, Hawaii, circa 1880, unsigned. Measuring approximately 20″ X 40″ in the frame. One of only 6 known paintings done by Nawahi. Born in Puna, Hawaii in 1842, Nawahi was one of the first Native Hawaiian born artists to paint in the western style.
